Day 2: January 2

I'm not super domestic, but I'm pretty proud of myself when I have a domestic-moment (or a DM if you will).

This morning, armed with our new Belgium waffle maker ($10 crazy sale price from Black Friday madness), I tried to conquer the art of making our own waffles from scratch.

Of course I mix all the flower, sugar, baking powder together only to realize I'm going to need buttermilk. Who has this in their fridge randomly? Obviously no one. BUT I figured out that you can make it from scratch too!

Just a cup of milk added to a tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar ta-da!

(I'm posting this before I eat them, btw, just in case they are terrible:-) )
