Day 12: January 12

The flag flew at half staff today at my grandparents' house. Grandpa only served in the Army for two years, but he was a patriot and a good man.

The best compliment he received today was that his best buddy never heard him speak poorly about anyone. I don't believe there is anyone else that I know who that can be said about, but he truly lived up to that standard. He was loved; that much was very clear today.
