Day 295: October 22 - Happy 85th birthday!

Best friend Cindy and her mom, Carol, decided to combine forces. Cindy turned 30, and Carol turned 55, so we celebrated their 85th birthday with them. Good times, but somehow this is the only picture I managed to take.

Day 170: June 19 - Nothing says Father's Day like baseball

My dad may not have been there, but I'm pretty sure baseball screams as a favorite father's pastime.

Peter bought me a Buster Posey jersey to celebrate the world champions. Thanks, babe :-)
Jared did get to celebrate being a dad with his lovely family. Taylor secretly also has a Posey jersey on.
My attempt at baseball cupcakes.
Baseball is not my favorite thing in the world, but tailgating just might be.
It took a while, but the ladies finally took over the top of the truck.
Maybe the cutest photo of the day. I'm secretly holding her because I was afraid she would topple over.

Day 148: May 28 - Engagement Party, a little wet, but great all the same

The clock struck 3 p.m., the time the party was starting, the heavens opened up and the clouds started gushing water. Thanks a lot, Mother Nature. What did I ever do to you, anyway? This is the second year in a row that we've tried to have a big party on Memorial Day weekend.

Never again. Lesson learned.

I did run around as the rain started to come down and take some quick shots of what the party was supposed to look like. This was before we all huddled into the garage and house.

In the end, I think it was totally OK to end up inside, since it brought people in closer physical proximity to each other. No complaints about that.
Kaila's cake was AMAZING! She basically duplicated our party invitation, which I had crafted up. Pretty smart, we are:)
It was a really fabulous day. We are really lucky to have such spectacular friends and family to celebrate with. It's going to be a great year leading up to the big day.

Day 134: May 14 - Luros wedding

I'm being very sincere when I say that I'm not sure I've ever been to a wedding where I was so sure that the happy couple would, indeed, forever stay a happy couple. Mary and Jason make an amazing team, and I think everyone who knows them is very lucky. I'm very grateful they ended up in my life.

The wedding was beautiful, the band was very fun and the bride and groom were happy, happy, happy.

Day 106: April 16 - Mary's bachelorette!

What a fun day and night! Mary's very lucky to have such great people in her life. Lunch was amazing, the hotel was beautiful. Strawberries and champagne in the hotel room wasn't so shabby either!

Mary's "attire" for the night was ... well...interesting. I've honestly never seen a bride be SUCH a great sport, though. Honestly, I was in awe of her good nature.

Day 58- February 27 - Oscars night

I admit, I didn't see as many of the oscar nominees as I would have liked to. Next year, right?

I was lucky enough, however, to represent the Register at the local Oscars gala. Somehow I took no pictures of myself, so I shall share some of other folks.

Nona and Cindy

Our view of one of the screens.

Julianna and her new beau.

Intent conversation :-)

I wish I had pictures of the amazing food we ate. Or the '07, '97, '88 and '84 cabs we taste tested.

Day 37: February 6: Winner, winner chicken dinner

I feel like the queen of the football pool! Our house won the second quarter and I, all by myself, won the ending score! Made all my stupid bingo money back at least :-)

Day 36: February 5- crab feed goodness

'nuff said.

Also I tried to run 10 miles today. Failed miserably thanks to wind, sun and general lack of tenacity.

But it appears spring is around the corner. I love love love daffodils.
