Day 172: June 21 - Ella the packing helper
Ella has decided to be my little packing helper. What this translates to is this: Every time I open a cupboard (note, this one is above the fridge, quite high) she climbs into it and posts up. She has gotten stuck in multiple cupboards throughout the week.

Day 130: May 10 - Ella the mac and cheese eater
Silly Ella. I've been on a Mac and Cheese with Tuna kick, and she's been diligently trying to get at it every chance she gets.

Day 104: April 14 -- The outside watcher
Ella has fully adjusted to her new home, and has taken up the position of being the keeper of the sliding door. She just sits there, window open, checking out the outdoors. Every once in a while she'll put a little paw out, but then she retreats back into the safety of the house. It appears the out-of-doors is not for her... she's an inside kitty at heart.

Day 43: February 12-out and about
Hailey and I took a three mile trek today during which we solidified her fear of a certain bridge over a creek. We also ran into this interesting little configuration. Do you think a kid did it? Or a random stranger? Hmmmm

Hailey was a happy pup.
Meanwhile, Ella decided I wasn't opening her cat food fast enough for her preference so she did so in her own.

Day 31: February 1 - Silly Ella kitty
Little Ella-bo-bella, the silliest cat around, has this weird habit. She likes to play with bottle caps. She will, in fact, dig them out of a big glass that Peter and I have been collecting them in, and then throw them onto the ground and bat them around. Seriously, she'll do this all day long. Silly girl.

Day 24: January 24 - Ella appears
Little Ella has decided the house is hers. Hailey is constantly chasing her, but I'm sure they will find homeostasis soon enough. Her vet visit revealed a clogged eye duct, ear infection, allergic reaction and she was malnourished. Phew! She's on the mend now, though, and we are excited she has joined our family.

Day 15: January 15 — Curious furry friends
Today we brought a new little kitty into our home. Ella was getting a little beat up in her home by a meanie male kitty, so we're going to see how she does in our family.
Of course, I'd post a picture of Ella, but anyone who's ever brought a cat into their home knows that the first thing they do is run and find a little hiddy-hole to sneak into and they hole up for about a week. Ella's is under the guest bed.
In the meantime, I thought I'd share photos of the reactions of the other animals to the new family member.
Hailey and her buddy Cocoa were quite curious. Ella wasn't in the carrier anymore, but they sniffed it for a good, solid 10 minutes.
Caz had no interest in checking Ella out. Instead, she planted herself in the office looking at us like we were all a little nutty.
